As the year 2020 came to a close, the music and podcasts app scene on iOS in Latin America witnessed varying performances among the top players. Data from Sensor Tower provides a glimpse into how these apps fared in the fourth quarter.

YouTube Music showed a steady increase in downloads, starting at around 52K in late September and peaking at approximately 72K in late December. Weekly active users saw a significant jump from 2.4M to over 3.3M, highlighting the app's growing engagement in the region.

Deezer: Music Player, Podcast experienced a slight fluctuation in downloads, hovering between 35K and 40K, with a notable dip to around 34K in late December. Weekly active users gradually decreased from 1.45M to 1.33M over the quarter.

TuneIn Radio: Music & Sports maintained a modest level of downloads, ranging from approximately 5K to 6K, and concluded the quarter with a high of nearly 7K. Weekly active users had a consistent presence, starting at around 50K and ending the quarter with a slight increase to 53K.

The app also boasted a large number of weekly active users, starting at 8.7M and climbing to a staggering 9.5M by the end of November, before stabilizing at around 9.1M.

Everand: Ebooks and audiobooks, while not a traditional music app, added variety to the top apps list with its focus on audiobooks. Downloads for Everand started at 2.2K and saw a high of 3.5K in late October. Weekly active users showed a modest increase from 20K to 21K throughout the quarter.
